Gastronomy
Much like the rest of France, Corsicans take their cuisine very seriously and spend a large portion of their time eating. Corsica is also strongly influenced by Italian food due to the island’s position on the Mediterranean Sea. The food is generally very “earthy” and there is strong emphasis on knowing where each ingredient came from. Seafood is very popular due to Corsica’s location and the mountains provide an ideal location for producing dairy.
